It’s not all about us.
(Well, this page kinda is.)
What we do
We’re a full-service marketing agency based in Cleveland, Ohio.
We help you amplify your message with design & print to connect with your audience.
How we do it
Our goal is to help you cut through the noise with an authentic message.
We consult. We design. We print. And we see your project through from start to finish.
We’re all about the partnership, not the transaction.
We’re small but mighty, and we love to amplify the underdogs.
We’re not afraid to push the limits, and we’re not afraid to be REAL.
Rock & Roll roots
The rumors are true…we have a secret identity.
Sure, we’re not technically superheroes, but we do have an alter-ego: Woodshed Stage Art.
It all started in a spare bedroom back in 1999. Our founder Dominic designed a logo so fans would remember his band. He emblazoned that logo on everything from the kick drum to tee shirts.
With the new brand in place, audiences grew and the band negotiated more money (one bar even sold out of beer during the band’s gig!) Woodshed was born, and our clients became some of the biggest names in music.
Decades later, our designs and prints have been seen on arena stages around the world, countless times on The Grammys, every major-network talk show from “The Today Show” to “The Tonight Show”, and even on two Super Bowl Halftime Shows.
In our 20+ years of working in the music industry, we’ve learned a thing or two about helping small businesses amplify their message, cut through the noise and stand out from the crowd.
Here’s what we learned:
It starts (and ends) with authenticity.
Branding only matters if you want to be remembered.
Even the best need to be different.
Budgets and timelines are mission-critical.
A great team, solid strategy, and killer execution level the playing field.

Woodshed?
So, what’s our name mean, anyway?
“Constant Improvement.”
We’re all musicians and artists over here, and our roots are in the music industry. In the old days, to “Woodshed” meant to literally go out back to the ol’ woodshed and hone your craft—to practice and refine until you’re stage ready. Musicians at all levels still “woodshed” to get their “chops” up, knowing there’s always something that can be improved before the next big show.
No doubt you’re applying that same commitment of constant improvement to your own craft in your own industry.
We’re here to help you find your voice and find your audience so they can enjoy whatever music you make.
The A-Team
Fueled by Rustbelt Hustle.
Dominic Tancredi
Dominic launched Woodshed in 1999 while pursuing a degree in Marketing. After helping fellow musicians level-up, he began to help other small businesses stand out from the crowd. You might catch him playing drums with his tribute band or watching Goodfellas for the 1,087th time.
Brendan Goers
Brendan joined Woodshed after years of working as a recording studio engineer and graphic designer. He’s also traveled the world as Tour Manager/Production Manager with several well-known bands. This drummer and pop-punk aficionado is also on a never-ending quest for the world’s finest slice of pizza.
Mike Layton
Before joining Woodshed, Mike was Senior Designer at Hyland Software where he implemented successful campaigns in both Marketing and Global Services for more than a decade. Most weekends you can find him playing guitar with his pop-punk cover band Jurassic Punk.
Edison Tancredi
Edison obediently joined the team after relocating to the Cleveland area from rural Kentucky. When he’s not greeting clients and apprehensive delivery drivers, he’s either on a high-speed chase in pursuit of a menacing tennis ball, destroying random objects of human importance, or snoring next to his pal Lucy.
Kyle Goers
Kyle joined Woodshed after several years in the tattoo industry ( + several more in the corporate world). With her degree in fine art, she brings ideas to life as a visual reality. When not slinging (digital) ink, she's roller skating to 80’s tunes, drawing up a storm, and being a mom to a little rock n' roller.
Lucille Tancredi
Our newest team member, Lucy was recently promoted from Branch Manager and is actively training in a variety of additional roles, including Toy Durability Analyst, Recreational Director, CIO (Chief Interrupting Officer), Director of Building & Grounds, and Assistant to the Assistant Regional Manager.
